Wednesday Night Men's Club at The Links
2006 will
be the inaugural year for the Wednesday Men’s Club @ The Links.
We will be playing various team and individual games throughout
the season. Take a look at the schedule to get a feel for how
the league is administered. This letter is designed to answer
some of the questions you might have about the league by
outlining certain areas. If you have any questions at all
please feel free to call me at the shop.

Starting Times & Registration
You
will be scheduling your own tee times anytime after 3:00 on
Wednesday’s. Registration for the event will occur at the same
time you check in to pay your greens fees. If you don’t have a
foursome, please request to be paired with other league members
when you call to schedule your tee time. If for some reason you
are not able to play as a foursome, we will match your scorecard
up with other singles, twosomes, or threesomes for that event.
Greens Fees
All players must have register receipt. The rangers will be
checking to be certain that everyone has paid. Please keep your
register receipt handy, as you will be checked.
Prizes
Each night there will be a mandatory $5.00 entry fee. Each
night prizes will be awarded in the form of credit that may be
used to purchase merchandise out of the Pro Shop. We will keep
track of the credits earned and each week we will post a sheet
with your balances in the “Links” Pro Shop. When you would like
to use your credit for a purchase in the Pro Shop you may bring
your purchase to the counter and the staff will fill out a
credit voucher. This credit voucher will be used as a gift
certificate in the register. You may not have a negative
balance on your credit account, so you will have to wait until
you earn more money or simply pay the balance at the time of
purchase. Credit may be redeemed in either the “Links” pro shop
or the “Old Course” pro shop. All credit must be used by
November 7th, 2006. If you do not use the credit you
will lose the credit.
Score Posting
New
Richmond Golf Club staff will post scores after each event using
the ESC guidelines. Many of you may not be aware of the ESC
guidelines so we will have a copy of them posted next to the
handicap computer for your reference. The handicap computer is
located in “Old Course” Pro Shop. When playing golf outside of
“League Play” please drop your scorecard in the box at the
“Links” clubhouse and we will get those scores posted for you.
Results
The
results will be posted to the bulletin board on Thursday’s.
Club Championship
The Club
Championship will be contested over the last to 2 nights of
league play and will be the total of your 2 rounds. The Club
Championship will be our biggest tournament of the year and
boasts the best payout. We will be breaking the golfers up into
flights and prizes will be awarded to at least the top 3 gross
and net in each flight. Also, the best gross and net scores
regardless of flights will be crowned the 2006 club champions.
Don’t miss out on this event.
Establishing a Handicap
To
establish a handicap you will need to post 5 - 18 Hole scores or
10 – 9 Hole scores. If you have some scorecards from a trip out
of state this past winter you may use those scores to establish
a handicap. For those of you that don’t have an official
handicap, we will be assigning handicaps based on your 1 best
score of your last 5 rounds played. When you have posted enough
scores to have an official handicap we will then use that
handicap. Please try your best to get an official handicap
established as it will be a more accurate handicap.
